The Phaplu Salleri Everest Base Camp Trek is an alternative trekking route to the iconic Everest Base Camp in Nepal. This trek offers a less crowded and more off-the-beaten-path experience compared to the popular Lukla route. Starting from Phaplu or Salleri, trekkers embark on a scenic journey through remote Sherpa villages, lush forests, and picturesque landscapes. The trail gradually ascends, allowing for better acclimatization, and passes through charming villages like Ringmo, Nunthala, and Junbesi. Trekkers can witness stunning mountain vistas, including views of Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and other towering peaks. Along the way, you can experience Sherpa culture, visit monasteries, and enjoy warm hospitality. The trek joins the main Everest Base Camp trail at Namche Bazaar, from where you continue to Tengboche, Dingboche, Lobuche, and ultimately reach Everest Base Camp. This trek is an excellent choice for those seeking a more serene and culturally immersive experience while still reaching the legendary Everest Base Camp.

Our Phaplu or Salleri Everest Base Camp Trek – 19 days includes trekking to EBC via the route of Phaplu. It is specially designed to spend some more days to the Himalayas. The route from Phaplu to EBC is comparatively less crowded and more adventurous. On our trip we will fly to Phaplu airport which is situated in Solukhumbu district just below the Lukla Airport. Although it is longer route than Lukla it is safer one. This route is ideal for people who want to stay more days in the Himalayas of Khumbu region. Trekking from Phaplu help us to acclimatize by spending more time climbing uphill and downhill of the Khumbu region before reaching to Phakding. This trial gives us a chance to take a glimpse of many castes and sub-castes such as Bhramin, chettris, Rai’s, Magar etc. we will also get a chance to know about the people and their lifestyle of hilly region.

Trekkers can reach to Phaplu both either by flight or by jeep drive. The route until Phakding is a different one. However, we will follow the same route that trekkers from Lukla will follow after reaching to Phakding. Everest Base Camp will give us an enthralling life time experience. It will provide us an opportunity to embark an epic journey that Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay set off to in 1953.Hiking on the legendary foothills just below the mighty Everest along with the hypnotizing views of master peaks can only be possible in Everest Region. Our Sherpa will work as a mediator to the base camp of world's tallest mountains. The warm hospitality of Sherpa will add fragrance to our golden trip. This Everest Base Camp trek via Phaplu will be one of your best adventures.

The trek eventually joins the main Everest Base Camp trail at Namche Bazaar, the bustling Sherpa town and trading hub. From Namche Bazaar, trekkers continue their journey, passing through Tengboche, Dingboche, and Lobuche, before reaching the ultimate destination of Everest Base Camp. The trek offers awe-inspiring panoramic views of the majestic Himalayan peaks, including Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and many others.

Phaplu Salleri Everest Base Camp Trek provides an opportunity to explore the stunning natural beauty of the region while immersing oneself in the local culture and traditions. It is a great choice for those seeking a quieter and less crowded trekking experience to the legendary Everest Base Camp.
