This itinerary is made as the starting day: direct flight from kathmandu to Lukla and end day: returning from Lukla to Kathmandu.

Updated notice: Civil Aviation Authourity Nepal has announced a notice Lukla flight will divert from Manthali Airport, Ramechhap instead of Kathmandu due to the air traffic and maintainance work.

For a specific month, you plan to travel from Kathmandu to Ramechhap and catch a morning flight to Lukla. If you opt for the early morning flight, our company will arrange to pick you up from Kathmandu at 1 am and transport you to Ramechhap by 5 am. The overall travel time is estimated to be around 4-5 hours, including a short 15-20 minute flight to reach Lukla Airport.

Preparation in Kathmandu:

Start your day early in Kathmandu, the bustling capital of Nepal. Double-check all your trekking gear and ensure you have everything you need for the day's adventure.
Head to Tribhuvan International Airport and proceed to the domestic terminal for your flight to Lukla. A private vehicle is provided by Everest Base Camp Treks and Tours to pick you from your hotel to Airport assisted by a representative.
Flight Experience:

The flight to Lukla is an exhilarating experience, providing an aerial view of the Himalayas. Always have your camera ready to capture the stunning scenery. The flight takes approximately 30 minutes, during which you'll witness breathtaking mountain scenery.
Landing at Tenzing-Hillary Airport, Lukla:

The plane touches down at Tenzing-Hillary Airport, perched on a mountain ledge. The airport is surrounded by majestic peaks and stunning landscapes, giving you a glimpse of what lies ahead.
Orientation and Meeting the Trekking Team:

As you step off the plane, you'll meet your trekking guide and porters. They will brief you on the trekking route, safety guidelines, and what to expect for the day.

Trek from Lukla to Phakding (2610 meters: 3-4 hours):
Starting the Trek:

The trek kicks off as you leave Lukla and start your descent. The trail initially descends gradually, providing a relatively easy start to your trekking journey. The trail winds through rhododendron and pine forests, allowing you to immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the region. As you hike, you'll enjoy the crisp mountain air and the distant views of snow-capped peaks. Along the route, you'll cross several suspension bridges over the Dudh Kosi River. These bridges are an iconic feature of the Everest Base Camp trek and add an adventurous element to the journey.
Passing Through Charming Villages:

En route, you'll pass through picturesque villages like Chaurikharka and Ghat. These villages provide insights into the local culture and lifestyle of the Sherpa people. Here you will pause for your lunch. After lunch, you continue to trek to Phakding.
Arrival in Phakding:

After 3 to 4 hours of trekking, you'll reach Phakding, a welcoming village situated beside the Dudh Kosi River. Check into a teahouse or lodge, where you'll spend the night and rest after the day's trek.
Dinner and Overnight stay in Phakding:

In the evening, you can explore Phakding, interact with other trekkers, and enjoy the tranquil ambiance of the village. Dinner will be served at the teahouse, providing you with a chance to taste the local cuisine and refuel for the days ahead.

Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440 meters: 3-4 hours):

Start the trek with an exciting journey, crossing the Dudh Kosi River and beginning your ascent toward Namche Bazaar. The trail winds through picturesque villages, offering glimpses of the towering mountains in the distance. The trek involves a moderate uphill climb, with the trail gradually gaining altitude. You'll take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, including glimpses of Mount Everest.
Arrival in Namche Bazaar:

After a 3-4 hour trek, you'll reach Namche Bazaar, the bustling town that's a central hub for trekkers in the Everest region. Check into a teahouse, where you'll have the chance to freshen up and rest before the afternoon hike.

Hike to Everest View Hotel:

In the afternoon, embark on a hike to the Everest View Hotel, a vantage point renowned for its stunning panoramic views of Mount Everest and other neighboring peaks. The trail to the hotel provides further acclimatization and breathtaking scenery.

After few hour of hike, you'll reach the Everest View Hotel and take in the awe-inspiring views of Mount Everest and the surrounding Himalayan peaks. You can capture memorable photographs and relish the moment at this remarkable viewpoint.
Return to Namche Bazaar:

Descend back to Namche Bazaar, retracing your steps along the scenic trail. Once back in Namche Bazaar, take some time to rest and freshen up at the teahouse.

Explore Namche Bazaar:

You'll venture into the vibrant streets of Namche Bazaar, where you can explore local markets, visit souvenir shops, and interact with fellow trekkers. Immerse yourself in the unique culture of the Sherpa people and enjoy the lively ambiance of the town.
Dinner and Overnight Stay:

Final Leg of the Trek:

Continue the trek, traversing the undulating trail and enjoying the natural beauty that surrounds you. The final leg of the trek involves some uphill sections as you approach Lukla.
Arrival in Lukla:

You'll reach Lukla, the gateway to the Khumbu region, and check into a teahouse where you'll spend the night. Congratulations on completing the trek! Take some time to relax and relish your achievement.
Evening Exploration in Lukla:
You'll spend the evening relaxing at the teahouse, reflecting on the trek and the memorable experiences you've had. Take this time to rest, perhaps engaging in conversations with other trekkers and sharing stories. If you have the energy, explore Lukla, a vibrant town with a unique mountainous charm. You can visit local markets, shops, or monasteries, and enjoy the local culture.
Dinner and Overnight Stay:

Fly back to Kathmandu and Explore the City or Depart from Kathmandu

Begin the day with breakfast at the teahouse in Lukla. Pack your belongings and prepare for the flight back to Kathmandu.

Completing your all billing process in the lodge, you'll head to Tenzing-Hillary Airport and check-in for your flight to Kathmandu.
Flight Experience:

You'll enjoy a scenic flight back to Kathmandu, taking in the panoramic views of the Himalayas one last time. The flight provides breathtaking aerial views of the Everest region and the surrounding mountains.
Arrival in Kathmandu:

Land at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, where you'll be greeted by the bustling atmosphere of the capital city.

Check into Accommodation:

If you have chosen to explore Kathmandu, check into your chosen accommodation in the city.
Visit Durbar Square:

Option 2: Depart from Kathmandu

Departure Preparations:

If you have chosen to depart from Kathmandu, you can make arrangements for your departure and ensure all travel arrangements are in order.
Airport Transfer:

Everest Base Camp Treks and Tours will arrange a private vehicle for a transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for your onward journey. It will take 15-30 minutes depending upon the traffic condition. On your arrival, driver or representative will assist you to take your luggage till boarding area.

Boarding process

Upon arrival at the boarding area, ensure you present the required documents. Once the check-in process is complete, proceed towards the aircraft that will take you home. Find your designated seat and settle in.

After a few minutes, the plane takes off from Nepali ground. We feel a sense of accomplishment having worked together and served you. We look forward to the opportunity to meet you again on your next journey.

Amazing Experience!

I got the most amazing trekking experience in just 5 days. Namche Bazaar is the most wonderful market I have seen and the beauty of Khumbu region is absolutely amazing. I was surprised to find so many varieties of western food even at such altitude which even tasted better. The trek was easy and fun and guide Pasang was great. I am eagerly waiting for another trek.

Beautiful Namche

Short and Sweet Trek

I just returned from Namche Bazaar Trek and it was very wonderful experience. The people were very friendly and hospitable and the market offered every variety of goods. The streets were full of colorful markets with plenty of shopping options. The view from Everest view hotel was the best part of the trek and the services of the company was very good. Beautiful Experience!

I only had very limited time in Nepal so I did Everest Namche Bazaar Trek and I’m very happy with the trek. I had never thought this short trek will be the most wonderful trek of lifetime.
