Everest Base Camp Trek can be started by taking a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla or by driving to Jiri or Shivalaya. Most of the trekkers start the journey by flying to Lukla as it saves most of the time than driving to Jiri and start trekking from there. But if you have time and want to travel via less crowded route then you can drive to Jiri and start trekking from there and fly out by Lukla. Make sure you have scheduled two days for acclimatization at Namche and Pheriche to avoid altitude sickness.
On our trek you will reach at a high point of 5545m to the best view point on earth which is Kalapatthar. It offers the superb view of Mount Everest along with other several mountains. You will also pass through several Sherpa villages such as, Khumjung, Pangboche, Namche Bazaar which is also a major economic hub of people living in Khumbu region, and many other villages. You will be visiting different monasteries such as Tengboche monastery which is the biggest monastery of that region. You will also encounter the amazing panoramic views of mountains such as Ama Dablam , Pumori,Lhotse, Nuptse etc along with beautiful Gokyo Lake and Gokyo valley.

On your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport our representiative will be waiting to welcome you with your name card and they will take you to the hotel in a private vehicle.
The second day will be sightseeing day in Kathmandu valley. You will visit different cultural and historical places of Kathmandu valley including some of the UNESCO world heritage sites. The sightseeing includes Pashupatinath Temple which is one of the biggest temple of Hindu religions, Soyambhunath Stupa which is biggest stupa for Buddhist religion you will also roam around Kathmandu durbar square, Bhaktapur durbar square, Patan durbar square where you will get to see the picturesque of ancient architectures.
You will have a 35minute scenic flight to Lukla from Kathmandu. You will encounter breathtaking scenario of the beautiful mountains covered with snow. After your arrival in Lukla airport you will have short indroduction session with the rest of the team members have lunch there and then move to Phakding. Our overnight stay will be in Phakding.
Beginning with a slight climb to Jhorsalle, the trail passes through a waterfall.We will pass villages interspersed with magnificent forest- rhododendron, magniolia trees and giant firs throughout the day. And on the way to walking you will be rewarded (weather permitting) your first glimpse of Kusum Kanggru (6369m) Thamserku (6608m) Everest (8848m) and Nuptse (7879 m). A steep climb up to the beautiful village of Namche Bazaar (3440m).
Acclimatization is most important before proceeding to a higher elevation. It is therefore recommended that you take a short days hike to Thame, Khunde or Khumjung or relax and explore the sherpa culture of Namche.Namche Bazaar is also known as Sherpa capital. It has internet cafes, banks,shops etc. overall it is a major financial hub for the people of Khumbu region. Our overnight stay will be in Namche Bazaar.
After walking one hour you arrive in phungithanga from there the trail climbs through forests where you can spot musk deer. Tengboche sits on a saddle at 3870m in a clearing surrounded by dwarf fires and rododendroms. Kwongde (6187m) Tawache(6542m) Everest (8848m) Nuptse (7855m) Lhotse (8618m) Amadablam (6856m) Thamserku (6608m) provide and inspiring panorama of Himalayan giants. We visit the Bhuddist Monastry at Tengboche; the largest in Khumbu region. The monastery holds a religious belif and known for tranquility. Our overnight stay will be in Tengboche.
Beyond Tengboche the altitude really starts to tell. The trail droops down to Dingboche, crosses the Imja Khola and climbs past superb mani stones ( carved with the Tibetan Buddhist chant om mani padme hum) to Pangboche at 3860m The gompa here is worth visiting. Then the trail start climbs to Pheriche 4240m. Where there is a medical facility, which gives lectures everyday on Altitude Sickness.
Again walking up and then coming back down is better than just resting in high altitude, you can make a day trip to Nangkartshang Gompa or up the hil to look down onto Dingboche,Both of the walks offers you with good views.
The trail climbs to Phalang karpo at 4340m then Duglha at 4620m,From Dughla the trail ascends the broad, gently sloping valley and climb steeply in to the terminal moraine of the Khumbu glacier then left in to the memorial area Chukpilhara, before reaching the Lobuche at 4930m.
The trail from Lobuche follows the grassy ablation valley with great views of Pumori then crosses tributary glaciers to reach the dry lake bed of Gokrakshep. Stop for lunch then climb Kalapatthar to get the best views of Everest and the surrounding mountains, then and back to Gorakshep for the evening.
We will wake up early in the morning have our breakfast and after then we walk to Everest Base Camp, we will visit the area spend some time there capturing the moment for lifetime and then we will trek down to Lobuche.
Today we will be moving down towards Dingboche from Lobuche. On our trial we will move downwards through Khumbu glacier moraine viewing the several great peaks gaining an altitude as we begin to descend. Dingboche is a Sherpa village. You can see Imja River flowing at the east of the village and a helicopter landing pad at the west of the river.There we can find different lodges and tea houses. Staying overnight in Dingboche makes an intresting accommodation alternative.
We will wake up early in the morning and will be moving towards Tengboche from Dingboche. We will walk down through lush of green forest of rhododendron and pine trees along with the mesmerizing and pleasents sounds of birds singing. On our journey we will have the spectacular views of the terraced farmlands and alluring nature of the area. We will have our overnight stay in Tengboche.
Today we will wake up early in the morning and after having breakfast we will bid a goodbye to our lodge owner then descend through the same trial that we used climbing up to Tengboche from Namche. After a few hours trial we will reach to Namche Bazaar. Our overnight stay will be at Namche Bazaar.
Today will be our last day in Mountains.We will be moving towards Lukla from where we started our journey. We will pass several villages and bidding goodbyes to the locals. We will have our overnight stay in Lukla remembering all those wonderful moments and bittersweet experiences of our journey.This last overnight stay in the Himalayas will be something different as you have accomplished the most adventurous journey of your life time.
Today we will witness the mountains for the last 35 minutes during our flight and fly back to Kathmandu. Our representatives will take you to the hotel. Today will be your last day in Nepal.

Our accommodation will be in 3 star hotel in Kathmandu and will be staying in tea houses and lodges during the trek as per availability. All accommodations are on twin share basis. If you want single supplement it will cost an additional charge. Actual adventure team will manage rooms with attached washrooms, except in some of the tea houses having shared washrooms and toilet facilities. However single rooms are provided only as per the availability because it may not be available at the higher elevations.
All meals will be provided during our 10 days trek including welcome and farewell dinners in Kathmandu. The meals during our stay in Kathmandu will be provided in high class typical Nepali restaurants which serve you with delicious Nepali cuisines whereas we will have our breakfast and dinner in the tea houses/ lodges on trek. We will spend the night and lunch on our way to the next destination. We will serve you with local foods or the foods according to your preference and availability.
Our Everest base camp trek 10 days short itinerary is special designed for those travelers who having very limited time but have passion and willingness to climb up to the base camp of the highest summit. It is a moderate trek. This trek is specially designed for the travelers with past hiking experience and who can walk up to 6-7 hours a day. Although, there is no experience required. It is best if you start preparing for the trek a month before by doing exercise and maintaining proper diet. If you have any physical conditions then you should inform to actual adventure team before the trek.
The best time to trek to Everest Base Camp is Spring i.e. (from March to May) or during autumn i.e. (September to December) the temperature in these seasons guarantees promising and breathtaking views. However temperature reaches below 0 degree Celsius in December yet we can enjoy the mesmerizing views.

My guide Pasang was great person to travel with very professional and had great sense of humor. We had proper time for acclimatization so had no problems of altitude sickness.
