When traveling to Nepal by air, Indian nationals must carry one of the following:
A valid Indian passport
An original Voter ID card issued by the Election Commission of IndiaIt's important to note that Aadhaar cards are not accepted as valid travel documents for entry into Nepal
For children under 15 years of age, a birth certificate or school ID card with a photograph is typically sufficient.Children between 15 and 18 years may travel with an identity certificate issued by the principal of their school
While a visa isn't required, Indian trekkers must obtain the following permits for the Everest Base Camp trek:
Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality Permit: NPR 2,000 per person for the first four weeks.
Sagarmatha National Park Entry Permit: NPR 1,500 per person for SAARC nationals, including Indians.
These permits can be acquired at entry points such as Lukla or Monjo. It's advisable to carry your passport or Voter ID card, as these documents are often required when obtaining permits and at various checkpoints along the trek
