Everest base camp 10 days by helicopter is specially designed for the travelers having willingness to conquer Everest Base Camp but have very limited time. This short trek by helicopter saves much time than trekking to EBC. This trek is also designed for those people willing to have a very unique and amazing lifetime experience. This trek is designed taking into considerations about safety and comfort of the travelers. If you don’t have enough time this can be the best package for you. This special package includes both fly in and fly out to Lukla via chartered helicopter so that you don’t need to worry about the flight delays. . The journey via chartered helicopter will be one of the most epic and outstanding journey of the life. Our 10 days trip begins from Kathmandu and we will fly to Lukla in our chartered helicopter which is the main entrance of our trek. Our trekking begins from there.

A side from the breath-taking scenery we also get to observe the legendry Sherpa culture, majestic features, and go through amazing mountain valleys of the Khumbu region. Everest Base Camp will give us an enthralling life time experience. It will provide us an opportunity to embark an epic journey that Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay set off to in 1953.Hiking on the legendary foothills just below the mighty Everest along with the hypnotizing views of master peaks can only be found in Everest Region. Outline Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu / Kathmandu Sightseeing. 

Day 02: Fly to Lukla, trek to Phakding, and 3-4 hrs. Trek. (Via chartered helicopter)

Day 03: Phakding to Namchebazar.  5- 6 hours trek.

Day 04:  Namche Bazaar acclimatization day

Day 05: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche 

Day 06: Tengboche to Dingboche 5-6 hrs.

Day 07: Dingboche to Lobuche, 4-5 hrs

Day 08: Lobuche to Gorakshep

Day 09: Gorakshep to Kalapatthar, back to Gorakshep, fly to Kathmandu by Helicopter.

Day 10: Kathmandu rest day and Departure.


Our accommodation will be in 3 star hotel in Kathmandu and will be staying in tea houses and lodges during the trek as per availability. All accommodations are on twin share basis. If you want single supplement it will cost an additional charge. Actual adventure team will manage rooms with attached washrooms, except in some of the tea houses having shared washrooms and toilet facilities.  However single rooms are provided only as per the availability because it may not be available at the higher elevations.


All meals will be provided during our 10 days trek including welcome and farewell dinners in Kathmandu. The meals during our stay in Kathmandu will be provided in high class typical Nepali restaurants which serve you with delicious Nepali cuisines whereas we will have our breakfast and dinner in the tea houses/ lodges on trek. We will spend the night and lunch on our way to the next destination. We will serve you with local foods or the foods according to your preference and availability.

Physical condition & Requirements

The 10 day Everest Base Camp Trek itinerary is designed for trekkers having good health and average physical fitness. It is a moderate trek. This trek is specially designed for the travelers with past hiking experience and who can walk up to 6-7 hours a day. Although, there is no experience required. It is best if you start preparing for the trek a month before by doing exercise and maintaining proper diet. If you have any physical conditions then you should inform to actual adventure team before the trek.

Best time to travel

The best time to trek to Everest Base Camp is Spring i.e. (from March to May) or during autumn i.e. (September to December) the temperature in these seasons guarantees promising and breathtaking views. However temperature reaches below 0 in December yet we can enjoy the mesmerizing views.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu / Kathmandu Sightseeing

After your arrival on Kathmandu our representatives will be there waiting to give you a hearty welcome to Nepal with your name card. You will be taken to hotel by our representatives. After you freshen up our guide will tour you to the Kathmandu city. You will visit the different world heritage sites and cultural and historical monuments that are located in the city. At the evening we will serve you with warm welcome dinner at a well known Nepali restaurant.

Included meals: Breakfast and welcome dinner

Day 02: Fly to Lukla, trek to Phakding, and 3-4 hrs. Trek. (Via chartered helicopter)

On our 2 nd day we will wake up early in the morning get freshen up and take an early morning flight via our chartered helicopter to Lukla. The flight via chartered helicopter will be one of the most outstanding and thrilling journey. After our arrival in Lukla airport we will introduce with our rest of the team members and have some breakfast and start our journey to the base camp.

Day 03: Phakding to Namchebazar.  5- 6 hours trek

On our 3rd day after having breakfast we will start our journey where our trial passes through a beautiful pine forest and we will continue our walk on a trial that goes north up the Benkar valley following the banks of Dudh Koshi River. We cross the Dudh Koshi River and pass Chumoa and Monjo village before reaching the entrance of Everest National Park. Then after crossing suspension bridge, we pass Jorsale village and walk alongside of Dudh Koshi and Bhote Koshi River. We ascend on a step trial and reach the biggest town in the Everest region i.e. NamcheBazar. It is also the major economic hub for people of Khumbu region. We will be staying overnight witnessing beautiful NamcheBazar.

Day 04: Namche Bazaar acclimatization day

On our 4th day will be acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar. We will wake up early in the morning at 6, freshen up have breakfast and then we will tour to the primary town of the Everest region which is NamcheBazar. It also has government offices, ATMs, internet cafes, shops, restaurants, and colorful markets. Overall this market is one of the major economic hubs of Khumbu region. We will spend our whole day hiking to the places that are near to the areas. We can hike upto Sagarmatha National Park and enjoy the sunrise over Himalays. We will also visit the Hillary School and monasteries. It will help our body to acclimate the lower content of oxygen in the air. Our overnight stay will be on Namche Bazaar. Day 05: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche

On our 5th day after having breakfast in Namche Bazaar we will have our breakfast and will move towards Phhunki. The trek until Phunki is not very difficult. After reaching Phunki we will ascend towards the biggest monastery which is Tengbboche Monastery which lies in Tengboche village.  The UNESCO world heritage site Sagarmatha National Park is also located here; we can enjoy the beautiful panoramic views of the Himalayas which the monastery is blessed with. The Himalayas including Mt.Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam and Thamserku can be viewed from here. The Monastery opens at 3:00pm, so if we reach thereby 3 o’clock we can observe the Buddhist religious ceremony. We will be staying overnight in Tengoboche.

Day 06: Tengboche to Dingboche 5-6 hrs.

On our 6th day of trek we will pass through overgrown forest of birch, confer and rhododendron trees. We will be exploring the magnificent views of Mt.Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. Here we will walk downhill to Debuche and cross the Imja River to Pangboche Monastery. We will be walking around the Imja valley and Lobuche River before ascending to Dingboche. This beautiful village gives amazing pictures of Himalayan agriculture and animal husbandry. We can have amazing views of beautiful barely, potato, and buckwheat fields along with animals grazing along those fields. Our overnight stay will be on Dingboche.Included Meals: All meals during trek including tea and coffee

Day 07: Dingboche to Lobuche, 4-5 hrs

On our 7th day of the trek after having lite and healthy breakfast we will bid a goodbye to our lodge owner and head towards Lobuche.  After approximately two hours trek we will reach to Thugla. There we will take a rest for sometime by having some hot drink.  We can see the high mountains getting closer to us as we proceed towards Lobuche. On our trek to Lobuche we will climb up to steep hill where we can see the Everest Memorial which is a memorial for the climbers who have lost their life while attempting to summit Mount Everest. As we continue our trial to the Khumbu Glacier moraine we will be facing several great peaks.  After 5-6 hours trek from Dingboche we will reach to Lobuche. Our today’s overnight stay will be on Lobuche. Included Meals:  All meals during trek including tea and coffee.

Day 08: Lobuche to Gorakshep visit EBC.

On the 8th day of our trek we will visit Everest Base Camp through the trial of Gorak Shep Lake. We will be following the trial straight ahead which will take us across the Indian Army mountaineers memorials.  The walk here is tough and misleading due to thin air in the high altitude. It is very important to follow our guide otherwise we may miss the trial. .  There will be strenuous walk along the Khumbu Glacier and up to Everest Base Camp. As we reach to the base camp at 5365m, we will enjoy the amazing view of Khumbu icefall. Moreover the Everest Base Camp itself is incredibly beautiful. The mesmerizing views of Nuptse, Khumbuste and Pumori mountains from the base camp are so alluring. We will return back to Gorak Shep for the night. Our overnight stay will be on luxurious guest house of Gorakshep.

Day 09:  Gorakshep to Kalapatthar, back to Gorakshep, fly to Kathmandu by Helicopter.

We will wake up early in the morning. After having breakfast we will be heading towards the best view point on the earth which is Kalapatthar. From there we can grasp the remarkable view of the Mt. Everest. The views from Kalapatthar are outstanding. It will give us that heavenly pleasure we might have never thought of having off.  We will have our lunch there and will return back to Gorakshep. After returning back to Gorakshep we will take a helicopter and fly back to Kathmandu bidding a goodbye to the beautiful mountains. Those magnificent views of Khumbu valley and the mountains we get to see while we are on helicopter makes us speechless. At the evening we will organize a farewell dinner and get together celebrating the completion of the most thrilling and adventurous journey. Today will be our last stay in Kathmandu.

Day 10: Kathmandu rest day and Departure

Our last day will be rest day in Kathmandu. If you want to have some sovereign shopping and tour to the city one more time before returning then our guide will help you. our representatives will drop you to Tribhuvan International Airport for your departure from Nepal.

Nepal Visa Information

Nepalese visa can be obtained on arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport which is the only international airport of Nepal and is situated in the capital Kathmandu. People of different nationalities flying to Nepal can get on arrival visa at Immigration office at TIA under department of immigration. The procedure is easy and simple but you might get queues on peak tourist season. If you want to skip those queues you can also get the visa from your nearest Nepalese embassy as well. If you are not flying to Nepal you can also get the visas on Nepal-India borders and Nepal-China border as well.  The government of Nepal charges certain fees as per the length of stay of the tourists which are mentioned below.

 To get the Nepalese Tourist Visa you will have to fulfill certain procedures at (TIA) if you have not obtained the visa before your visit to Nepal as per the Department of Immigration of government of Nepal.

The government of Nepal grants gratis visa (free visa) for the tourist under following categories as per Department of Immigration of Nepal.

o SAARC citizens except (Afghanistan) visiting Nepal for the first time up to 30 days. Afghan citizen are eligible for Gratis Visa on Arrival only upon the recommendation of Department of Immigration. If you are an Afghan citizen, you can request concerned institution inviting you to Nepal for necessary paperwork with Department of Immigration to get you Gratis Visa 'On Arrival'.

o Children below 10 years.

o Non Residential Nepalese(NRN) card holder ( issued by MoFA /Nepalese diplomatic missions abroad)

o Chinese Nationals

o Indian Citizens having valid government ID card do not need visa to enter and stay in Nepal.    

Officials from China, Brazil, Russia and Thailand do not need Entry Visa based on reciprocal visa agreement. The tourist visa can be extended up to 150 days in a year and can be extended from Kathmandu and Pokhara immigration office or you can also apply online for visa extension. If you overstay your visa less than 7 days then you will be charged $2 per day and if you overstay longer then you might not be allowed to board your departing flight as per the law of Nepal government.
